Andy
Coburn is a Senior Research Associate with the Duke University Program for the
Study of Developed Shorelines and has been associated with PSDS since 1991. Mr.
Coburn has experience in a broad array of coastal management-related disciplines
including policy, planning, land use, hazard mitigation, and marine geology.
Mr. Coburn currently coordinates PSDS's public policy/outreach component and
has served
as a project coordinator since 1999. Mr. Coburn has provided testimony for the
United States Senate and has served as a member of the NC Hazard Mitigation
Planning
Initiative, NC Barrier Island Planning Steering Committee, NC State Emergency
Response Team, and NC Coastal Stakeholders Planning Committee. Mr. Coburn received
a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Duke University Nicholas
School of the Environment and Earth Science in 1993 and a B.S. degree from the
Pennsylvania
State University in 1988.
